2021, we are here!

When we first started Felt, 4 years ago, we wanted to change the world. or at least be part of a movement to make the world better. So noble, right? (dear reader, they were wrong). Here we are 4 years later and we are discovering that our students are world changers, they have changed our lives and made so many amazing leaps to change their own. We are but a small step in their journey.

Today Felt runs classes 7 days a week. We have ESL programs running at 5 levels, we have Literacy classes, we have TASC and College Prep classes and we have a really thriving and friendly Children's after-school program. Our classes are fun and engaging and our teachers are really the best teachers around.

We have welcomed students from 35 countries this semester alone. Most are based in the US, but Felt has also welcomed in refugees displaced from their camp in Europe, or awaiting their asylum location. In total, we have welcomed over 600 students.

We have worked with students who have started their journey in the U.S to help their families, to flee violence, torture, or trafficking. We have helped first-generation and refugee children find their voices. We have opened a lot of doors. This is not to blow our own trumpets, anyone can open a door, it takes strength, like our students have displayed, to step through.

The resilience, determination, and joy of our students are matched by the enthusiasm and skills of our amazing volunteer team. The heart and soul of Felt.

Facts: because you cannot go wrong with a good old fact!

It costs just $100 for us to provide a student with year-long learning.

It costs just $60 to provide them with the technology to learn

It costs just $10 to change a life

We love to break it down like this because many people feel that they cant make a difference, but you can actually change a life for the cost of two NY coffees.... In fact, it took many people to make providing FREE education to our almost 630 students possible.

Thank you - and remember, a like, a share is as valuable as a donation.
